DISCOVER THINGS ON SINGAPORE ART WEEK
26th Jan 2018
My ever first field trip with my classmates on 26th January 2018. The good thing of going to an exhibition is I can discover things that I might have not seen before. Seeing people's artworks can give me some inspirations when it comes to design.

ORIGINS OF THOUGHTS
Origins of thoughts is a retrospective of architect William Lim's search of his artistic identity. After selecting architecture as his profession and successfully running his own design studio, Lim wanted to return to his childhood passion in painting. Here he exhibits 100 pieces of his artworks.

Designed by Jinggoy Buensucesco from the Philippines. He is a visual artist, sculptor, and a material expert, wood and cement. Heavily influenced by his childhood in the province of Bataan, his work evokes strokes stories and bold statements of oneself, culture and the push and the pull of life, through the use of clean lines with organic forms.
I was amazed by how Jinggoy used the thickness and thin to form something outstanding yet artsy.

Not only I find these cute or maybe I am the type of person who can't resist something which looks adorable. It was made in Busan, South Korea by Daeyong Byun in 2017.

Abstract Painting - I have always loved abstract because behind the painting, it consists of usage of visual language of shape, lines and colours to create a composition.
